Who we are

This website belongs to the Iraqi–British Business Council (IBBC), formed in Iraq with the approval of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, and ratified by the Ministry of Commerce. In this policy, “we” and “the council” mean IBBC.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us through the two forms on this site.

The contact form asks for your name, your email address, a subject and your message, and lets you add your company and a phone number.

The membership application asks for your company’s name, sector and country, and for the contact person’s full name, email address and phone number. It lets you add the company’s city, website and size, and the contact person’s position. It also records the membership tier you choose, your agreement to this policy and, if you give them, how you heard about us, a message and a company profile in PDF.

Like any website, the servers that deliver this site may keep standard technical records of each request, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and secure.

Why we use it

We use what you send us only to reply to your message, to consider your membership application and, if it is approved, to manage your membership. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it to handle your request or your membership.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the email service that delivers form messages to the council, and otherwise only where the law requires us to.

Cookies

This site does not use cookies for advertising or analytics. It uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as one that remembers the language you chose.

Your rights and how to use them

You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it.
